THE EVENING GROUP
The Evening Group is for people who work, are stay-at-home moms or, for any other reason, cannot attend the daytime meetings. We found that there were many women who wanted to help their community but had limited time. The Evening Group was created for just such women. You do not need to live in Brielle to join.
The Group meet once a month, usually at Curtis House, and works on small, very useful projects. For example, one meeting in 2021 found the ladies making no-sew blankets that they then donated to the Ocean Partnership for Children. Another month they assembled packages of toiletries for women at the Community Affairs and Resource Center (CARC). They also take advantage of the skills of one member, who is a certified yoga instructor, and have held a couple of yoga events open to the community.
