"NOTHING WE DO WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT THE UNBELIEVABLE SUPPORT OF ALL OUR MEMBERS."
The Woman's Club of Brielle meets on the second Thursday of each month at 11:45 am, September through May. The day begins with a lunch, served by a rotating luncheon committee, followed by the general membership meeting. Meetings are held at the Curtis House, 644 union lane in Brielle, NJ, and are open to members of the Club and pre-registered guests.
Special programs are often provided at a meeting that are entertaining and informative. They cover varied topics such as community health, local history, arts, music, cultural events and much more.
We have an evening committee that meets once a month. This allows women who cannot attend day meetings to participate in the club's many activities and create a few of their own. The meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month between 7 and 8 p.m. at the Curtis House.
There are many departments in the club offering a variety of activity interests. We have a very active craft group, a day and evening literature group, health and wellness activities, a civic engagement group and a group concerned with environmental issues. One department works on raising funds for the scholarships that we award every spring. We also have groups playing golf and pickleball.
In addition to our monthly general meetings, the chairs of each department gather monthly at our board meetings.
Our largest fundraising event is the Brielle Day Craft Show, which will next be held on September 6, 2025. The Woman's Club organizes and runs this juried craft show that hosts over 150 crafters of handmade items.
Our second largest yearly fundraiser is our gift basket auction and luncheon which is held in November. There is usually a sold-out crowd of up to 180 who love taking chances on the gift baskets and enjoying a great meal. This luncheon is a member-guest only admission. Members spend much of the year selling 50/50 tickets to benefit our scholarship program. The winning number is drawn at this event.
Other fundraisers take place throughout the year and include such events as a Women's Conference, hosted by the evening committee, vintage jewelry sales, and children's activities.
Proceeds from our events and fundraisers benefit the Woman's Club of Brielle, inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Brielle Day Craft Show
The Brielle Day craft show is a juried show held annually on Brielle Day (the Saturday after Labor Day) and is put on solely by the Woman's Club. The Committee works throughout the year reviewing the applications of crafters, advertising the event, organizing the crafters on the field and all the other associated activities. A few days before the show, club members (and some very helpful spouses) come together to 'line the field' and on the day of the show, most of the members can be found on the field just before daybreak, waiting to help the crafters settle into their assigned spaces. Each year we host as many as 180 crafters in 8 rows of booths.
There are many tasks involved in holding this event and thus many opportunities to be a part.
Communications
The head of Communications handles all publicity related to Club activities, including working with the Coast Star and other local papers. A press book is kept of all Club activities.

They review all the submitted scholarship applications and select the recipients. Scholarships are awarded at a ceremony held in late Spring.
The Evening Group
The Evening Committee was formed in November 2018 to meet the needs of women who want to help the local community in some way but have limited time. They meet once a month, at Curtis House, 644 Union Lane, Brielle. This committee was created for anyone who works, lives out of state, or they are a stay-at-home mom but want to help the local communities in some way. This is active, energetic group who set their own program and support their own causes.

Therapy Dogs
This committee was created in 2019 to provide the necessary training of members and their friendly, outgoing dogs to become certified therapy dog teams. After the training, and passing the assessment required, teams work in nursing homes, hospitals, shelters, schools, libraries with kids, and many other facilities. They bring love, boost self- esteem, and relieve loneliness and boredom.
